Terms of Service

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms govern the use of Butties AI service (hereinafter "Service") provided by Butties AI (hereinafter "Company") and establish the rights, obligations, responsibilities, and other necessary matters between the Company and users.

Article 2 (Definitions)

• "Service" means the AI-based personal assistant service provided by the Company.
• "User" means any individual who agrees to these Terms and uses the Service.
• "Member" means a user who has completed registration and holds an account.
• "AI Conversation" means interactions with artificial intelligence including chatting, schedule management, and memo creation.
• "Token" means a virtual unit of usage for the Service.
• "Paid Service" means services provided through monthly subscription plans.

Article 3 (Effect and Amendment of Terms)

• These Terms become effective upon posting on the Service screen or notification to users through other means.
• The Company may amend these Terms as necessary within the scope of applicable laws.
• Amended Terms will be notified through service announcements and become effective 7 days after notification.

Article 4 (Provision of Service)

The Company provides the following services:

• AI chat and conversation service (Butties)
• Calendar and schedule management (including notifications)
• AI-based automatic memo and diary generation
• Relationship management and person information extraction
• Accounting and budget management features
• Image upload and analysis
• Web search and information provision
• Health record management (menstrual cycle, mood tracking, etc.)
• Other services determined by the Company

The Service is available 24/7 year-round in principle, but may be temporarily suspended for system maintenance.

Article 5 (Registration and Account)

• Registration is available only to individuals aged 13 or older.
• Members must provide accurate information and update it promptly when changed.
• Members are responsible for securely managing their account information.
• Only one account can be created per email address.
• Service use may be restricted if false information is provided or another person's information is used.

Article 6 (Paid Service and Payment)

• Paid services are charged monthly according to the selected plan.
• Payment is made automatically through registered payment methods.
• Plan changes take effect immediately with prorated differences.
• Service cancellation is available anytime, and service continues until the next billing date.
• The Company compensates for periods when service cannot be provided due to Company's fault.

Article 7 (Subscription Cancellation and Refund Policy)

• Subscription cancellation is available anytime, and automatic payment stops from the next billing date.
• Service remains available until the end of the paid period even after cancellation.
• Monthly subscriptions do not provide refunds for remaining periods upon early cancellation.
• No refunds are provided for service restrictions due to user's violation of these Terms.
• Full refund is available if service is completely unusable due to technical issues within 48 hours of payment.
• Refunds for remaining periods are provided in cases of major service failures or Terms violations by the Company.
• Refunds are processed according to Apple App Store or Google Play refund policies, with final approval determined by the respective platforms.

Article 8 (User Obligations)

Users must not engage in the following activities:

• Identity theft
• Harassment, threats, or defamation of other users
• Sharing obscene or illegal content
• Repeated spam or advertising messages
• Activities that disrupt normal service operation
• Distribution of information violating laws or public morals
• Commercial activities using the Service
• Other illegal or improper activities

Article 9 (Personal Information Protection)

The Company strives to protect users' personal information, and the protection and use of personal information follows a separate Privacy Policy.

Article 10 (Service Use Restrictions)

• The Company may take the following measures if users violate these Terms or disrupt normal service operation.
• Restriction measures are implemented progressively based on violation severity: 1st warning, 2nd 7-day suspension, 3rd 30-day suspension, 4th permanent suspension.
• However, criminal activities or serious violations may result in immediate permanent suspension.
• Restriction measures may be implemented without prior notice, and users may file an appeal.

Article 11 (Disclaimers and AI Content)

• The Company is exempt from liability when unable to provide service due to force majeure or equivalent circumstances.
• The Company is not liable for service usage disruptions caused by user's fault.
• Information provided by AI is for reference only, and the Company does not guarantee its accuracy.
• Professional consultation is required for matters requiring medical, legal, or investment advice.
• AI-generated content is created in real-time, and the Company does not guarantee its accuracy, appropriateness, or completeness.
• AI responses are based on training data and may sometimes contain inaccurate or biased information.
• Users are responsible for verifying AI-generated content before use.
• The Company is not liable for direct or indirect damages from the use of AI-generated content.

Article 12 (Intellectual Property Rights)

• All rights to the Service belong to the Company.
• Ownership of data entered by users belongs to the users.
• AI-generated content can be freely used by users.
• Users cannot resell information obtained through the Service without permission.

Article 13 (Service Termination and Data Processing)

• Members can request account deletion at any time.
• Personal information is immediately deleted upon withdrawal, except where retention is required by law.
• The Company provides 30 days advance notice before service termination.
• Users can backup their data upon service termination.

Article 14 (Service Regions)

• This Service primarily covers Republic of Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and the United States.
• The Service supports Korean, English, Japanese, and Chinese (Traditional).
• Some features may be restricted depending on the region.
• The Company may expand or reduce service regions with advance notice.

Article 15 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

These Terms are governed by and interpreted according to the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes arising from service use shall be filed with the competent court under the Civil Procedure Act.
